CLARK COLLEGE: Sping Classes now forming!
Open Studio Classes Tuesday 9:30 - 11:30 AM April 24-May 29, 2012!
ACRYLIC/WM OIL OPEN STUDIO classes are a chance for the continuing acrylic OR water mixable oil painting student to work on individual painting projects of their own choosing in a class environment. Clark Open Studio classes resume in the Spring. If you decide you cannot wait until then, I will be teaching Open Studio Classes at my home studio in Salmon Creek beginning in January.
Each student should come to class with a color representation (photo, sketch, or color copy) of what they would like to learn to paint (landscape, still life, portrait, mixed media collage*).
Continuing beginners will benefit from learning how to construct a painting from their own reference material using step-by-step methods, and more advanced painters will benefit from instructor critiques, class demonstrations, and advice.
This is an opportunity to hone your skills as a painter, explore new subject matter and style, while continuing to learn more about color mixing, composition, and acrylic technique.
Bring the supplies you already have to the first class.
*For mixed media collage, please bring any additional ephemera you want to include in your painting, i.e. hand-made paper, photos, buttons, yarn, stamps, etc.
